Africa Institute of South Africa (AISA)
The AISA is an independent research organization and think-tank, focusing on Africa in its research, publications and resource library. The Institute has built a solid reputation over 40 years, combining in-depth analysis and research with topicality and policy relevance. AISA has recently become a Science Council.

African Centre for Economic Growth (ACEG)
The mission of ACEG is to increase knowledge of the policies that work to accelerate economic growth and expand income opportunities for the people of Africa. The goal of ACEG is to promote human security and development in Africa through a network of Sub-Saharan research institutions.

Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA)
CODESRIA, the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa is headquartered in Dakar Senegal. It was established in 1973 as an independent Pan-African research organization with a primary focus on the social sciences, broadly defined. It is recognized not only as the pioneer African social research organization but also as the apex non-governmental centre of social knowledge production on the continent.

Institute of Public Policy Analysis (IPPA)
IPPA is a private, non-profit organization involved in research, education, and publication on matters affecting the freedom of individuals. Its objective is to provide market-oriented analysis of current and emerging policy issues, with a view to influencing the public debate and the political decision-making process.

Institut Supe´rieur de Gestion et de Planification (ISGP)
ISGP provides introductory, intermediate and advanced international business management, international economics and trade development, international marketing management, strategic management, international trade financing and establishing pedagogic programs that offer seminars in risk and issues management. In addition, the Institute created a non-profit program designed to assist and promote young entrepreneurs. Sixty percent of the beneficiaries are women. They provide educational opportunities to enhance women leadership and assist them with teaching methodology and practice. They also provide essential tools to educators for classes and leadership activities, especially in the field of management.


Organization for Social Science Research in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA)
The OSSREA is a membership -based and donor-supported research network that aims to encourage and promote the study and research in the Social Sciences in Eastern and Southern Africa. Its headquarters is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Membership is open to all individuals and institutions engaged in teaching and/or research in the Social Sciences in Eastern and Southern Africa. Currently, its members are drawn from over 15 countries in the region where OSSREA has National Chapters and Liaison Officers. OSSREA not only engages in research but also provides research grants to junior and senior scholars based in the region, and offers training in Social Science Research Methodology. OSSREA produces a variety scholarly publications ranging from its bi-annual journal to monographs, books and research reports.

West African Research Center
The West African Research Center (WARC) is the overseas research center for The West African Research Association (WARA). It is located in Dakar, Senegal. WARC is a center for academic exchange between American and West African scholars that encourages research on the region of West Africa. The idea for the overseas center came about in May 1992 and was implemented in the fall of 1993. Since its inception WARC has grown both in terms of staff and influence as it continues to connect researchers in the USA with researchers in the region of West Africa interested in common issues.
